Zane Lowe's "Most Punk"
BBC Radio 1, 16 June 2005, 19:00Two listeners complained about the use of strong language in an early evening broadcast on Radio 1.
The programme was about punk culture and was preceded by a warning voiced by one of the presenters. It stated that the programme would feature strong language and that listeners offended by swearing should switch off.
This was then immediately followed by what appeared to be an elderly lady saying:
"Hello ladies, boys and girls, I thought that you might like to know - in the spirit of punk rock – the following show includes, what we often refer to as language. So if, like me, you are offended by such words and phrases as: arse; bollocks; tit, wank; tit-wank; rotter; mother licker; mother sucker; mother fucker; twat; minge juice; bottler and of course bastard - then you might wish to turn over, or fuck off - thank you".
Ho!
The complaint was upheld. SURPRISINGLY.

I'd have complained about the age of that joke. A warning about strong language that includes a list of lots of rude words. I did that on the front page of a website when I was 12, and I knew that it was unoriginal by then.
The best version of the joke is, of course, Lee and Herring's remix of Ice T's version of it.

I think the amusing order of the words earns it at least some reprieve.

The worst example of the joke is at the start of D12's Devil Night album. Ice T did the warning-at-the-start-of-a-rap-album-containing-lots-of-rude-words thing some ten years previously. This was almost exactly the same, but with less amusing words.
The one on BBC2's Fast Show Night was quite good. It was Simon Day introducing a banned sketch by simply saying all the rude words in them, then adding afterwards to switch over if you're offended by them.
