His 3D games are indeed shit, but the 16bit era ones are untouchable. SO DON’T TOUCH THEM.

Sonic Adventure was ace. You can moan about every single 3D game after that though. Not that I’ve played the new Sonic the Hedgehog yet (waits for his birthday).

I was really looking forward to Sonic Unleashed. The early videos I saw made me think it would be a 2D side scroller with 3D aspects, similar to the new Street Fighter game. But after watching a few of the more recent videos it seems nothing more than a glorified version of Sonic and The Secret Rings.

If for some reason you’re reluctant to spend fifty quid on a plastic hedgehog, the same company is also doing some more affordable versions:
