AGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH

Oh, for FUCK’S sake.

Torchwood star John Barrowman has apologised for exposing his genitals during a live BBC Radio 1 broadcast.
“I was joining in the light-hearted and fun banter of the show and went too far,” he said. “I was wrong to do this and it will never happen again.”
The BBC has also apologised for the incident on Sunday’s Switch show, which prompted one listener to complain.

One listener. ONE listener. One less than originally complained about the infamous Ross/Brand phone call. Would someone at the Beeb PLEASE get a backbone? Go on; tell a licence payer to fuck off. You’ll feel better, honestly. A world where John Barrowman can’t get his nuts out, is not a world I want to live in.

Hang on… someone’s complained about someone getting their balls out ON THE RADIO? That famous visual medium?

They should apologise to all the VIEWERS that complain each time he DOESN’T get Little John out.

(He flashed on a radio show? What’s the point? I don’t suppose “he” can make noises…)

Marleen, you’ve inspired me. Below is my complaint to the BBC:

I’d like to complain about the listener who complained about John Barrowman getting his genitals out on Sunday’s Switch show. As a licence payer, I’d like to have a slot where the marvellous Barrowman gets his balls out once a month, whether he needs to or not.

I’ve requested a reply.

Very good.

The question is, are the BBC interested in the kind of audience that would attract.

Actually, no. That line was a lot funnier a year ago.

It was shown on the webcam. And it went out pre-watershed.

Which doesn’t make the reaction much less FUCKING INSANE.

I read that the webcam was covered up when the offending part was revealed.

My real problem with the complaint is that it made for a great ~10 mins of radio. Doubly so after it happened moments after it was mentioned as something Barrowman is wont to do.

Also also: The Beeb report of this sneakily mixes Barrowman’s apology with quotes from the broadcast - “I didn’t take the whole thing out, but I got my fruit and nuts out.” in a mock-Scottish accent was more funny than it had any right to be.
