Well, it wasn't mine, my mate Wyl ran it, but I designed it for him. We wrote a godawful "comedy" piece called "99 Fun Things To Do When Competing On Robot Wars" on it. I'll have to see if I can find it.
We got accepted to go on Robot Wars, and everything. We sent in our designs, we got the contracts, everything. Just a shame we never actually got round to building the robot, really. The best we managed was a wooden prototype built around the chassis of an R/C car.

Ah, the beauty of the internet. Your identity fossilised in newsgroup postings and old websites. One day, a generation of children is going to be very disturbed when they discover search engines and find out their Mum spent a large portion of her teenage years writing Harry Potter slashfic. I remember at the time I initially became active on the internet, I thought I was witty and incisive, but a cursory glance reveals that I was, in fact, something of an immature twat...
Luckily, I only got access to the net properly when I went to uni, in 2001 - when I was 20. I'm *so* glad I wasn't on it when I was 16...
And all the forums I contributed to in 2001-2 haven't got archives anyway. Hooray! Which is pretty good, considering that I used to be a right fucking whiner before I got me some vagina action.
Ditto. It is fucking WEIRD reading things you wrote six or seven years ago, and had completely forgotten about. I found a load of Yahoo Groups I used to be in. I seemed to post just as much on there as I currently do on here and the likes of NOTBBC, but I can hardly remember anything about them! I did, however, make an excellent Irishman joke in 2001.
I found that old Robot Wars site. I'm not posting it, though, it's too embarrassing. Not least because it only dates back to about 1999, so I was a should-really-have-known-better 16/17 at the time...
Yours probably doesn't contain hideously bad attempts at humour, though.
Oh, alright then. Bear in mind that 99% of the site's content was written by Wyl. We co-wrote the "99 things..." segment, but all the bad gags (i.e. most of them) are his, honest...
Weirdly, the links don't always seem to work - I just tried now, and "99 Things" didn't load. But it definitely worked for me earlier. Weird. Anyway, it's probably for the best.
Anyway, you have to love that classic Geocities design. Netscape Composer, naturally. No logos stored, unfortunately. But the Meta tags are good for a laugh.

I think it's a genuine example of classic mid-late '90s Geocities design. You can't get the /Hollywood/Flange/2325242 URLs these days.
