That's why John Barrowman isn't doing series two, then.

That'll also be the "television program during the month of February next year" that he signed up for preventing him from going to some convention mentioned on Outpost Gallifrey.

Hurrah! This might be really good. Unlike Who, because it's a BBC3 spinoff, it won't have to cater to as wide an audience.

(I just realised that made it sound like I was saying "It might be really good. Unlike Who." Which of course isn't the case...)

Actually, I thought the reason John Barrowman wasn't doing Who was because he was so damn busy with Theatre work. Not that I'm complaining, mind...

Well yes, that'll have been a reason, undoubtedly. But clearly Torchwood is the reason why RTD is less worried about not being able to use him in s2...

I wonder how long RTD has had this planned. I honestly don't know what to make of it yet, but it's gonna be interesting to say the least. It might be set in the two years that Jack can't remember and we see what happened, how he lost his memory and how it connects with the Doctor (you just know that it will). It seems crazy that it's gonna be set in Cardiff. Also, 13x45mins? The same length as Who? This is not your average, run of the fucking mill spinoff.

The first thing I thought was that it was all fake and not a real series and something to do with the second series of Who... but of course it isn't.

I'm sorry but I can't look at John Barrowman without seeing him covered in gunge with Andi Peters and Emma Forbes.
