I agree, it shouldn't be Kay. He'd never be able to concentrate on hosting it for laughing and taking the piss. Dave is the perfect choice. I'm glad they didn't give it to a generic gameshow host (although Spikey has hosted a quiz before).
I'm guessing the Peter Kay reference was a joke. After all he's always remembering Bullseye during his stand up shows, and running through the actions of what everyone did, said and could have won.

Dave Spikey's not a bad choice. I suppose if you can't get Peter Kay (who it really should be), he's the next best thing...
