Oh...

...dear.

As was stated at the time the accusations were originally made, there's a world of difference between being questioned over something, and being charged with it. Right now, though, things aren't looking particularly good, are they?

It's absolutely pointless to speculate about this. We don't know the facts, simple as.

I know it's pointless to speculate; I was just reporting the story, the truth that stands, that he's been charged. I just really, desperately hope it's not as bad as it sounds.

Wait a second, didn't they first arrest him over this the week after he'd won the British Comedy Awards?

Actually, now that you mention it, it is kind of strange for him to be arrested just after that, and charged just after winning a BAFTA...

Somehow I don't think he was being serious.

To any of the tabloid frenziers who would say "no smoke without fire!!!" though, I have two simple words. Matthew. Kelly.

I've just seen one of those People Like Us-style adverts of Goodfellas Pizzas, the ones where an interviewer (essentially Roy Mallard) shows restaurant-owners the new frozen pizzas, and they get angry about them and that. They replaced Langham's voiceover with David Mitchell. Sigh.
